What every bathroom needs

What every bathroom needs - Blog Post

Some bathroom accessories are nice-to-haves, like a sprawling staghorn fern, a foaming soap dispenser, or a bejeweled tissue box.

Others are must-haves. Pieces that no self-respecting bathroom should be without, because without them, things just won’t run as smoothly. If you’re remodeling or redecorating, read on to find out why these five bathroom accessories should top of your list.

1. A double-duty glass tumbler & toothbrush holder

Are your toothbrushes lying around the vanity, or propped up in what was once a decorative flower pot? Believe us, we’ve seen these before.

Bathroom Butler’s nature-inspired 4600 series Glass Tumbler and Toothbrush Holder is the permanent solution to your bad bathroom habits. To take tidiness to a next level, this tumbler is affixed to the wall with our patented Rigid Loc mounting system that ensures it will never come loose or wobble.

Since the tumbler is made of glass, it’s easy to see when it needs a clean, which is important if you want it to double as a drinking vessel for swishing after brushing or quickly downing your multivits.

2. A toilet brush & holder like no other

No bathroom can call itself complete without a toilet brush and a holder for said toilet brush. One of our best-sellers is the 5800 series Toilet Brush and Holder in polished stainless steel.

Bold, contemporary, and with a sleek circular design profile, you’d never think a toilet brush holder could look so good! We took matters a step further with this accessory by inserting a plastic sleeve so that cleaning becomes a cinch. If the brush wears out over time, simply replace it.

3. A rack for tons of towels

Folks often neglect storage space in a bathroom, necessitating trips to wherever the towels are stored to fetch fresh ones. That’s why you need a towel shelf that can store a couple of towels at a time. Like the 25-inch wide Towel Shelf with Hang Bar that allows you to hang two folded bath towels side by side on the hang bar, and plop a couple more on top of the shelf.

4. A family-friendly heated towel rack

The best thing about a heated towel rack is it banishes cold and damp towels forever, but there’s much more to it. You know that musty smell you get from your damp towels as you enter the bathroom? It’s a sign bacteria are having a party on your towel. By drying them on the heated towel rack after each use, you are looking after your health.

A heated towel rack also extends the life of your towel. No seriously, by drying them in as little as four hours, you don’t have to wash them as often and this obviously also cuts down your electricity bill.

5. A magically lit mirror

Mirrors are such a necessity, most bathrooms come with them pre-installed. But that doesn’t mean you can’t swap it out for something that can double as décor, putting a stamp on your unique bathroom style. Beveled, gilded, embellished, wooden, frameless, oval, arched or round – let go of the mundane and opt for a real statement piece.

And while you’re at it, look for mirrors with LED strips or bulbs built-in, or install a suitable light sconce above or next to the mirror, so that it gives the perfect lighting for applying daytime makeup, crafting the perfect chignon, or trimming and shaping your Van Dyke goatee. Tip: choose light bulbs with a high Color Rendering Index – a CRI of 90 or higher, so you can see yourself in the best possible light.

You asked we answered – Part 2

You asked we answered - part 2 - Blog Post

If you’ve read Part 1 of our ‘You Asked, We Answered’ blog, and still have some nagging questions, read on. Here we cover a couple of the more technical questions customers often ask before buying a heated towel rack from Bathroom Butler.

1. Why does a heated towel rack installed with a the Wifi enabled switch also have the PTSelect Switch?

This is because these two switches each have unique functions, all of which you need to get the most out of your heated towel rack.

The Wemo Wi-Fi-enabled switch, which is installed separately on the wall, allows you to schedule when the heated towel rail goes on or off, through the mobile App, even from a remote location. Imagine being able to do this at the kids’ soccer game and you want dry towels for after their shower when you get home!

The PTSelect Switch, which is built into the heated towel rail and operates via a red, lit-up dial, allows you to check and manually adjust the temperature.

2. Does Bathroom Butler install the heated towel rack?

No, you do! Bathroom Butler provides you with absolutely everything you need to fit it easily yourself, including easy-to-understand installation instructions and a handy mounting template for accurate measuring.

Before you get DIY-ing, check your local electrical codes for any applicable regulations and, unless you’re experienced with home wiring, have an electrician complete the electrical connection before installing a hardwired (hidden wiring) unit. You could also go for a heated towel rack with a plug-in (exposed) wiring option that can simply be connected to an existing power point.

3. Can I install the heated towel rack directly in the shower?

No, please don’t do that! Not only is this dangerous, how on earth will you ever have dry towels?

For your safety, electrical regulations strictly prescribe where in the bathroom a heated towel rack can be installed and this includes putting some 5 feet of distance between an electrical connection point and any water outlet.

4. Why do I need a built-in timer or Wi-fi-enabled switch to switch the heated towel rack on and off? Can’t I simply do that manually myself?

Yes of course you can. But the beauty of the Wi-Fi-enabled or our TDC (Total Digital Control) timer is the freedom it gives you to manage your heated towel rack even when you’re not at home – programmable setting automatically to switch on and off when not at home.

For those who stick to a rigid schedule, the TDC timer allows you to choose one of four programmable settings to dry your towels and add a touch of warmth – like clockwork. The Wi-Fi option, on the other hand, allows you the flexibility to remotely tell the rack when to switch on and off, so that your towels are ready when you are.

5. Why would I want to buy a Wi-Fi-enabled switch for a heated towel rack over the model with the TDC Timer?

With the TDC timer, you can choose between four different programs in a 24-hour cycle. Say it’s set to switch the heated towel rack on at 5 am, it will do so every day for seven days a week unless you change it. Meaning it’s quite rigid.

Because life is not rigid and technology has made it possible for us to get what we want when we want it, the Wi-Fi-enabled switch means more convenience, flexibility, and peace of mind. You can, for instance, program each day differently, depending on what’s going on that day. Or switch the unit on or off on a whim.

The Wemo Wi-Fi switch also works with IFTTT (as well as Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa) which, once connected to the Wemo App, allows you to automatically switch your heated towel rack depending on a range of scenarios, including sudden weather changes. This could be, for instance, 45 minutes before your alarm goes off in the morning, or an hour after you arrive at the gym. It’s also super handy if you’re on your way to the mountains and suddenly remember you left the heated towel rack on. Simply tap the App and switch it off.

Thinking about buying a heated towel rack but have a gazillion questions you’re too shy to ask? Don’t be! We talk to our customers from all over the world every day and are always happy to help. Here are five questions that come up time and again – answered!

1. What are your products made of?

All our products are made of the finest Grade 304 stainless steel. It’s rust-resistant and, being non-porous, no bacteria can stick to it. Also, all it requires is a quick wipe to achieve a gorgeous-looking gleam. Nothing else will do.

2. Which is the best heated towel rack for the price?

If we had to choose it’d be the Natural 5 Bar 20” Heated Towel Rack with PTSelect Switch. Practical and good-looking, this all-rounder suits most bathrooms and can dry two folded bath towels at a time, or two folded bath sheets.

3. Which is the best model for two towels?

4. Which is the best model for four towels?

For this one we have two options and it really depends on the wall space available. For a narrow but taller wall space you could opt for the Natural 15 Bar 20″ Heated Towel Rack with Wi-Fi-enabled Switch which canthat can dry three folded bath sheets or four bath towels. Alternatively if you have a wider wall space we recommend the Natural 7 Bar 32” Heated Towel Rack with PTSelect Switch  that can dry four bath towels at the same time.

In this first of a two part series we cover some of the most common questions customers often ask before buying a heated towel rack and bathroom accessories from Bathroom Butler.

6. How long does shipping take?

We ship all our products from our warehouse in Miami within one to two working days from receiving your order. And delivery is FREE within the USA!

7. What is the difference between a PTSelect Switch, a TDC Timer and a Wi-Fi-enabled switch for your heated towel racks?

The Personal Temperature Selection (PTSelect) Switch is a simple and easy-to-use built-in controller that lets you switch the unit on and off and adjust your towel rack’s temperature, depending on your needs or the climate in your area.

The Total Digital Control Timer (TDC) allows you to program your heated towel rack to run automatically in one of four different modes to suit your lifestyle. This built-in timer can also be used to switch the unit on or off, and to adjust the towel rack’s temperature.

The Wemo Wi-Fi-enabled Switch is available as an optional extra (in the US) and works with our heated towel racks that have a PTSelect switch. The combo of the built-in PTSelect controller and wall-mounted Wi-Fi switch allows you to connect to your home network and, via the free Wemo App, program it automatically from wherever you are in the world.

NOTE: With technology evolving at lightning speed, we’ll soon be discontinuing the TDC Timer option (in the US) in favor of the PTSelect with Wi-Fi-enabled Switch combo. The latter offers the same functions and even more for much less $$.

8. Where are your products manufactured?

Impress guests with these five bathroom accessories

Impress guest with these five bathroom accessories - Blog Posts

Bathroom accessories must above all be functional, right? Yes of course, but can they also be fabulous? Yes! Here’s the why, what and how of our top five bathroom accessories right now.

1. Towel rings

You’d be surprised to know how many folks completely forget about the necessity of a towel ring for your hand towels, one that fits neatly next to the basin. And while horizontal rails are cool, rings and hooks are bang on trend right now. Especially ‘rectangular’, open rings that’re more square than round to be honest. Point in case is the open towel ring in our 5800 series that is built to ensure you can easily slip the hand towel off – even with eyes splashed with water – while the straight design prevents the towels from bunching up in the centre. Nice.

2. Robe hooks

Are you still hanging your Coyuchi Unisex Cloud Loom Organic robes behind the bathroom door? If so, stop. Bathrobe aficionados need their bathrobes to be seen, and hang with flair just by the shower or near the bath where they’re easy to grab after that hot, relaxing bath. And since you have exquisite taste in bathrobes, you will certainly have exquisite taste in robe hooks, which is why we recommend the Bathroom Butler 8600 series robe hook. One hook for you, and one for …

3. Glass tumbler holder

This bathroom accessory is often such an afterthought that some people simply use a soda glass or, horror of horrors, a coffee mug instead of something stylish to hold their toothbrushes in or take a sip of water from. Our 5800 series glass tumbler holder in polished stainless steel will complete your bathroom accessorizing exercise like the absolute pro that you are. Go on. You know you want it.

4. Soap rack

Soap melts and we all know what happens when a wet bar is left languishing in a soap dish with all that melting having nowhere to go. The solution: a soap rack that’s made for the shower – or right by your bath – such as our super stylish 4600 series soap rack with horizontal bars that are so perfectly spaced, even a used soap bar won’t fall through and cause a slippery mess elsewhere. Yeah for design!

5. Toilet brush holder

Toilet brush holders are not nice things. Necessary, but not nice. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have a nice one! What we like most about our closed toilet brush holder from the 9100 series of bathroom accessories is the fact that it’s closed and we can’t even see those bristles or where they’ve been. Best of all, it has an internal sleeve which makes for easy cleaning and the top grade stainless steel ensures it won’t rust or chip like we’ve seen so many toilet brush holders do in the past. You’ll love it.

What do homeowners often overlook when doing a bathroom renovation?

What do homeowners often overlook when doing a bathroom renovation?

Giving your bathroom a makeover? Not so fast! Many homeowners spend a few nights on Pinterest then attempt to execute a big idea. Thing is, while your soon-to-be-new bathroom might look picture-perfect, could you be overlooking an important detail that might fill you with regret? To ensure your renovation is a smart one, take a look at a few of these factors many tend to overlook when redoing their bathroom.

Don’t forget about ventilation

Bathrooms are naturally damp places. Ideally, you’ll want one with windows – the bigger the better – to prevent mould and bacteria from setting up shop. However, you could also install an exhaust fan. The latter is ideal if you live in a northern state with a long, hard winter. After all, the last thing you’d want to do is crack open a window while you’re taking a bath in a blizzard! It’ll also cost you a fortune to heat your house if all your warm air is perpetually escaping out the window.

Think about storage

Many people give their bathroom a dream makeover and suddenly realize they don’t have storage space. That gorgeous framed mirror you chose over a bathroom cabinet looks fabulous, but where are you going to put your night cream? Sure, we all love a floating vanity area – but what’s going to happen to your spare towels? Fortunately, if you’re working with a small space, there’s a lot you can do to capitalize on space. For example, a Bathroom Butler towel shelf with a hang bar is a great way to hang two folded towels side by side and add a stack of them to the top. You could also consider one of our 43” double towel rails. They can easily hold two unfolded large bath sheets and, because they’re made from Grade 304 Stainless Steel, they’re never going to sag, buckle or bend!

Get real about accessibility

If you’re renovating your bathroom intending to use it for a decade or two, don’t forget about accessibility. Right now you might not have any problem getting into your shower or bath. But will it always be that way? Also, what happens if a less mobile relative moves in with you later on down the line? You don’t have to add in any grab rails today, but do leave space for them should you need them in the future. Then, when designing your shower, consider a walk-in, curb-less design. It’s these little things that can make a huge difference as well as save you a lot of money – and maybe even a move – in the future.

Add a little luxury

A lot of renovators put so much focus on ensuring they’ve ticked off all the essentials that they forget about adding a little luxury. And why not? When you think about it, your bathroom is a space you’ll use several times a day and a place where you’ll want to relax. There are lots of things you can do to add a touch of luxe. These range from choosing a bath with whirlpool jets or simply adding tiny details like a footrest in your shower. One of the easiest ways to create a five-star feeling, however, is to add a heated towel rail. This way, you’ll never have to worry about reaching for a damp towel ever again. In fact, they’ll be bone dry with a lovely touch of warmth!

Ultimately, when it comes to renovating your bathroom, it’s easy to create a space that’s practical as well as luxe – provided you pay close attention to all the important details, big and small.

The biggest luxury selling point home buyers want to see in a bathroom

Are you remodelling your home intending to sell? Use our handy checklist to give your bathroom a “hot property” makeover that will turn it into your home’s biggest drawcard for any buyer.

A shower AND a tub

If your master bathroom only contains a shower stall or a tub and not both, you’re going to be at a big disadvantage when it comes to selling. According to the latest annual report published by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), a whopping 76% of millennial buyers consider this their top must-have. When pushed to specify, potential buyers also revealed that they’d want the tub to feature whirlpool jets and that the shower should have multiple heads. Clearly, luxe living is a top priority for those looking to move house.

A double vanity

Something else the NAHB survey revealed to be important to buyers, particularly for millennials – the largest age group wanting to buy – is a double vanity. If you’re currently brushing your teeth over one small sink, consider pulling that out and replacing it with two of them. For extra points, make that countertop granite, something else that’s desirable to buyers. Then, to create a vanity area that’ll act as a luxury selling point, finish up with top-quality Bathroom Butler accessories, such as our 4600 Series Glass Tumbler + Holder.

A linen closet

Is your bathroom spacious enough to include a linen closet? If so, you’ll want to put one in. The NAHB survey also revealed that 73% of buyers are looking for a place to pop their towels. In fact, 28% of them considered it a must-have, not just a nice-to-have. If your bathroom isn’t big enough to include a closet, you can still capitalize on this insight by adding something like a Bathroom Butler Towel Shelf + Hang Bar. It can hold two bath towels on its rail and a stack of them on its shelf, so not only will it’s luxe-lines give your bathroom an upmarket feel, it’ll double up as a space-saving genius.

A heated towel rack

Another way to increase the storage space in your bathroom while adding a lot of luxe is to invest in a heated towel rack. Our Loft Collection models can hold up to four folded bath sheets and have an eye-catching design that will add value to any bathroom.

Pollished stainless steel LOFT DUO 12 Bar 1000mm Straight Heated Towel Rail with PTSelect Switch with grey towels on them.

Finally, once your bathroom makeover is complete and you’ve created a tranquil, luxurious oasis, you might even be tempted to keep your home off the market!

Must have bathroom tech

Want to know what it might feel like to take a shower in the year 3000? Consider giving your bathroom a smart makeover by kitting it out with the latest must-have bathroom tech. From clever scales that can track your stats to Wi-Fi enabled heated towel racks that can save you money and time, we’ve created a checklist of the most innovative additions to any bathroom.

A smarter scale

Still using a scale that only tracks your weight? Switching to a smart scale will give you a much clearer picture of your health by measuring your body max index, lean mass and body fat percentage. Many of the most popular can also automatically sync to wearable fitness tracker apps so you can see your progress over time. You also don’t have to fuss with settings to adjust to each family member as the scale can automatically figure out who’s who based on prior readings.

The (Blue)Toothbrush

There once was a time when owning an electric toothbrush could give your bathroom major tech cred. Now, however, rotating heads are old news and pulsating sonic brushes enhanced by Bluetooth capabilities are du jour. Why Bluetooth? This way, you can connect to apps that monitor your dental hygiene habits and even coach you to become a better brusher! Also, you’ll never have to wonder if your kids are really brushing their teeth.

Talk about a power shower

You finally bought that fancy shower head. The one with all the different water pressure settings, colorful LED lights and a speaker to play music. So why not go a step further and get a wall-mounted digital bathroom controller? The best kind are compatible with home automation systems. So, if you’re using something like Alexa or Google Home, you can ask your virtual assistant to set up your shower – just the way you like it – before you even step into the bathroom.

The cleverest heated towel rack

Bathroom Butler heated towel racks make use of pioneering technology to rapidly dry your towels in a way that blitzes bacteria. This means you can use your power-hungry tumble dryer and washing machines a lot less often. While that’s already pretty smart, our Wi-Fi enabled models take things a step further, allowing you to control them via your phone or tablet. You can also program them to turn on and off according to your routine for further energy savings. Think “Turn on when I get home” or “Turn off when the alarm system is enabled”. They’re also available in a range of luxe-looking styles ensuring they put the “pretty” in “pretty smart”.

Dream Bathroom Checklist

Do you watch those celebrity home tours on YouTube, feel mesmerized by marble tubs and wonder what it must be like to live in such luxury? Thing is, it doesn’t take as much effort as you’d think. If you’ve been toying with the idea of an indulgent bathroom makeover we’re here to help you out by creating a little checklist. You don’t have to tick off every item, but just investing in one or two can take your bathroom from average to fantasy-worthy in a flash.

Twin showerheads

The best type of shower will always be a big one – something large enough for two. However, while you might be the couple that likes to share everything, do you really want to fight over water? This is why twin showerheads are the new twin sinks! But while you’re at it, don’t just install just anything. Spring for the rain kind! They’re fabulously oversized to create the feeling of being caught in a powerful monsoon. Also, because rain showerheads cover so much more of your body, you’ll be fully drenched in a downpour of soothing warmth.

A heated toilet seat

Heated toilet seats are a thing! Once you’ve discovered the awesomeness of sitting on a warm seat in the middle of a cold and frosty night, you’ll never want to revert to a jarringly cold one ever again. As they’re increasing in popularity, you’ll be spoiled for choice. Also, because they replace your existing toilet seat, not your entire toilet, you don’t have to call a plumber. The best types will have a slow-collapsing hinge to prevent a slamming and a built-in nightlight that’s ideal for a midnight tinkle.

Underfloor heating

On the subject of heated things, if you’re taking this dream bathroom seriously you can’t not install underfloor heating. While it can be expensive to install as you’ve got to pull off your flooring, once it’s in, it’s in for life. Aside from increasing the value of your home, the biggest benefit is obvious – wonderfully warm tootsies! If you live in one of the chillier states, consider it a very luxurious must. Also, it’s not as expensive to run as you might think.

A whirlpool bath

A giant bathtub will always be fabulously indulgent but if you really want to take things to the next level you’re going to want to turn on the jets! A jetted bath with a whirlpool system essentially sucks the water out of your tub to expel it via a system of strategically placed jets. It’s a brilliant way to gently massage aching muscles while boosting your blood circulation. The best kind of whirlpool baths will be big enough for two and include bath pillows. Many even include LED lights that can change colour to suit your mood. Think romantic red or relaxing blue!

A heated towel rack

No fantasy bathroom would ever be complete without a heated towel rack. Still, they’re not all created equally. If you’re looking for the best of the best, you’ll want one from Bathroom Butler. They’re made using top-quality stainless steel so they’ll never rust or chip. They’re also available in custom colors and finishes, so if you’re wanting something to match your ultra-luxe golden taps, you can get it. Many of the models can also be Wi-Fi-enabled making them just as smart and they’re pretty. In short, they’re the last word in dream bathroom bliss!

The biggest bathroom decor trends of 2020.

Has spending more time at home got you thinking you’d like to switch up your scatter cushions? Maybe recover the couch? You’re not alone. Many people are itching to renovate and while the pandemic’s put a dampener on large scale plans, smaller spaces, such as bathrooms, have become a top project.

If you’re one of the many wanting to give yours a makeover, check out these top bathroom décor trends of 2020 to help get you feeling inspired.

The bidet makes a comeback

Thanks to the toilet paper panic that swept America in March, the sales of bidet attachments is skyrocketing. This way, you don’t have to worry too much if you can’t find your favorite 3-ply on the shelves. Still, not everyone’s bothered by COVID-19-induced panic buying. As it turns out, the Polished Stainless Steel toilet paper holder from our timeless-looking 4600 series is one of our top three bestselling products. Thanks to a patented RIGID Loc mounting system, it’s never going to wiggle around on your wall.

Marbleized wallpaper

Marble bathrooms have always been a thing. Still, it’s an expensive look to pull off. Marbleized wallpaper, however, allows you to get the look without having to empty out your wallet. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t put wallpaper in a bathroom. If it’s not in a splash-zone and you treat it with a sealant, you can enjoy a fresh new look that’s for keeps.

Getting warmer

Cool-toned bathrooms with a palette of white, grey and silver will always be a classic. However, there’s a new shift towards a warmer look. Think elegant beige, taupe, cream and rose-hued marble; earthy-looking Travertine and tan-colored Terracotta. In this case, cool-toned silver bathroom fixtures could look out of place, but now copper, brass and anything yellow or rose gold-plated can get a chance to shine.

Black beauty

They say black never goes out of fashion but it’s also never been more in vogue when it comes to bathroom fixtures. Still, it’s not just any black that’ll do – it’s got to be matte. This finish du jour has been showing up not just in bathrooms but kitchens too. While it’s typically masculine and modern, it doesn’t have to be. Pairing matte black fixtures with softer touches – think orchids, oriental rugs and romantic old-world cabinetry – can create a beautiful juxtaposition. At Bathroom Butler, you’ll find our Natural and Cubic collection heated towel racks are available in Matte Black as well as many of our bathroom accessories to match.

Matt black heated towel rail with 8 bars.

Mirror, mirror

Often, a bathroom mirror exists solely as whatever’s glued to the front of your medicine cabinet. Now, however, homeowners are scrapping those entirely in favor of large, framed mirrors that take centre stage. They’re a quick and easy way to really elevate any space, bathroom or otherwise, and create a “boutique hotel” feeling in a flash. Also, you don’t have to opt for just one. If you’ve got twin sinks, opt for twin framed mirrors to give any bathroom a real sense of drama.

High shine finish

While matte black fixtures have seen a surge in popularity, stainless steel is still a top pick. In fact, it’s the most popular choice amongst our Bathroom Butler customers when it comes to any of our fixtures. Speaking of, our Natural 5 Bar heated towel rack in Polished Stainless Steel is still our bestselling towel rack. So much so that it’s one of our top three bestselling products! As it’s made from superior quality Grade 304 Stainless Steel it doesn’t require a coating to serve up a gorgeous-looking gleam. It’s also rust-resistant and, because it’s not porous, won’t become a magnet for bacteria.

Bathroom color trends for 2020

While the 60s and 70s were all about avocado and the 80s and 90s fell hard for monochrome, today’s biggest bathroom color trends run the gamut. Still, emerald is having a massive moment. So much so that Vogue magazine recently announced green as the new Millennial Pink. Two other hot color trends to choose from include decadent dark chocolate and any shade of warm, creamy vanilla. If any of these colors spark your imagination that’s good news because we’re going to help you find the perfect fixtures to match. Creating a great overall look isn’t as simple as popping in any old tap.

If you’re up for Emerald

The great thing about jewel tones is that they look great with any metal. Still, if you pop onto Pinterest and search for emerald-coloured bathrooms, you’ll see a major trend emerge and that’s green paired with warmer metallics like gold and bronze. To get the look, make green your hero shade and limit the gold or bronze to just your fixtures and a few statement pieces – like a large Baroque-style mirror. Speaking of which, many don’t realize that all our Bathroom Butler products, heated towel racks included, are available in custom colors. Thanks to a process called PVD Plating, we can add a translucent color coat to anything, be it Brushed or Stainless Steel. Our most popular request is Brushed Brass, a lovely bronze hue, that would look fantastic in any emerald bathroom.

All in for Hot Chocolate?

Dark decor is a trend that’s been around for a while but has recently gained huge momentum as well as evolved. At one point, to pull off the look, all you had to do was paint your walls in a deep, mysterious shade like charcoal or burnt umber then introduce whatever furniture and accessories you liked. Now, the key is to keep everything in the room from the same dark palette and let their varied textures do the talking. It’s a brilliantly bold look for a bathroom so, if it’s talking to you, ensure all your fittings are just as dark. Happily, all the bathroom accessories in our classic 4600 Series and edgy-looking 8500 Series are available in Matte Black. Better yet, our Natural and Cubic heated towel rack ranges cross over to the dark side too!

Got a craving for Cream?

Being a warm-toned neutral, cream matches almost everything but looks best with other shades that have a slightly warm undertone. This doesn’t mean you’re limited to gold or bronze fixtures, however. Even “silver” metals can run from cool to warm. For example, chrome is an “icy”, cool-toned silver. Then, you get slightly warmer-looking silvers like stainless steel. Much like nickel, it’s more on the grey side of the spectrum and has a very subtle orange undertone. This makes it the perfect partner for warm neutrals like cream. However, as it’s still silver-colored, it also pairs beautifully with any cooler hues. This is why all our Bathroom Butler heated towel racks and accessories are made in universally flattering Brushed Stainless Steel that has a matte finish as well as Polished Stainless Steel that boasts a lovely shine. This way, whatever color palette you choose, you’ll be sure to meet your match!
